Rob is a humorous and engaging presenter and loves interaction so bring your questions!

9:00-9:30 Michael Vitti Big Prize Raffle and Wrap-up

About Jay: Jay came East after wandering off the honor farm at the Shirley Temple Black Home for the Cinematically Bewildered in Palm Springs. Having worked in the Film Industry for over 25 years on the West Coast, Jay came East seeking four seasons and the perfect ear of white corn. He has worked with George Lucas, Steven Speilberg, David Lynch and Mel Brooks, to name a few. His skill set includes editing (Emmy for co-editing the pilot for Twin Peaks), visual effects (producer VFX for Eraser, tests for Matrix and What Dreams May Come), sound (location and post - One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Black Stallion), camera (Panavision, Arriflex, Éclair, B&H) and he makes a mean Bolognese. Jay also teaches production courses at two local universities, sharing his vast reservoir of hearsay and misinformation with the upcoming generation of image-makers. Hop- ing to steer these impressionable youths to a better life path such as animal husbandry or fly tying. Jay now is seeking a crisp, brilliant sauvignon blanc to go with the corn.

About Rob: He's a pro who's seen it all, from analog to digital. He's worked in Features, Broadcast, Corporate, Large Scale Special Events, Business Meetings, Trade Shows and Theme Parks. Rob is a nationally recognized Adobe After Effects expert, multiscreen presentation specialist, skilled Final Cut Pro editor and a popular speaker and demo artist at workshops, user groups and trade shows. His After Effects tutorials are featured on leading websites including Toolfarm (where he is a Resident Expert), AETUTS+ and Red Giant TV. Rob is also a featured contribitor to the Final Cut Pro User Group Network's "SuperDisc", distributed at NAB, IBC and other broadcast conventions. As an author, Rob's "Professional Training for the After Effects Camera" has proven to be one of the most popular selling titles in Toolfarm's Expert Training Series. GENARTS, creators of the high end Sapphire VFX software collection singled out Rob's work when they profiled him as an Artist of the Month. What makes Rob valuable is his 30 years experience in video and film, beginning with 15+ years as a director/cameraman and more than 25 years in post as an editor and motion graphics artist. He's self motivated, deadline driven, and has a track record that shows he always exceeds expectations. He loves to collaborate, but doesn't require constant supervision. Rob understands what clients need and how to deliver it, whether from his studio or yours. RECENT PROJECTS have been completed for T•Mobile, Walt Disney World, ESPN, Kodak, Dolly Parton (Dollywood), General Motors, Long John Silvers, KFC Franchisee Association, SUBWAY®, History Channel, Palm Springs Int'l Film Festival, Siemens Medical, and Cricket Communications.

About Digital CONNtent Creators

Digital CONNtent Creators, the first and only digital desktop video and cinema post-production user group based in Connecticut, was established to build professional connections between editors, motion graphics artists, independent filmmakers, students, and video professionals who embrace the digital desktop media revolution.

DCC originated from the Connecticut Final Cut Pro User Group, which was founded in 2003 by Keith Larsen. In 2006, the group evolved to include a wider range of focus for production and post-production professionals using a variety of media. The organization strives to share ideas, creativity, and user concerns related to the use of both Macintosh and Windows-related software and provide interactive forums for end distribution of digital content for broadcast, broadband and DVD.

Now into its 8th year, DCC boasts over 500 members reflecting the diverse production community across the Northeast. In addition to remaining part of the Final Cut Pro User Group Network (FCPUG), DCC prides itself on also being an equally interactive forum for users of Avid, Adobe, Media 100 and more.
